We’ve all heard about wine health before, but how much merit is there behind all of those facts and studies? The truth is that this potent drink may be far more beneficial than you might think.

The elixir of the gods; the truth serum that is willingly drunk; the one liquid that is hardly ever consumed alone – wine is universally appreciated and loved. Throughout the past few years, there has been a lot of talk about wine health. Some claim that Hippocrates often prescribed this alcohol as a means of curing people. Some believe that this liquid helps to cure mental diseases, and some believe that it is the one thing that does not have to be consumed in moderation. So, what is the truth behind this magical drink and all of its supposed cures?


Interestingly, thanks to those prohibition years, there was a whole group of doctors in the past that believed wine was toxic. These doctors did everything that they could to prevent people from drinking the sweet liquid until another school of doctors came along and laughed at those that were afraid of this drink. Modern scientists, researchers, and doctors all agree that those that drink this alcohol in moderation will benefit from coronary disease and some types of cancer.

Other studies have shown that this alcohol may lead to a prolonged life – and some even believe it to be the fountain of youth. While we do not know all that this drink may do, we can be sure that there is some truth behind general wine health. If you wish to try your luck as increasing your life, warding off heart disease, and attempting to avoid all types of cancer, you should only drink one glass per day. This means that binge drinking will not lead to any type of medical cure...far from it, in fact.



Those that drink excessively will suffer the consequences; there is no getting around that fact. Still, a glass of wine per day is a great way to relieve stress, allow your body to take a break, and (possibly) keep that doctor at bay (and you thought an apple a day would do the trick!).

When it comes to wine health, remember that though this drink may be healthy, it is not to be enjoyed profusely. Relax, have a glass, and ponder as to whether or not this drink may be one that holds many secrets to human life.
